*Creative Eye – A workshop that aims to tickle the little minds on the different ways they can see the natural world around us

A fun, creative and practical session which encourages and coaches children to understand different perspectives of how they can see the natural world – shapes, sizes, forms and colours.

When they learn that others have different ways of seeing the natural world, it helps build mutual respect and personal growth of the child, which is the primary aim of this workshop.

This session will be led by Shashi Kiran, a professional photographer who has studied photography at the famed Light & Life Academy, Ooty. Shashi Kiran has great passion for wildlife and nature photography.

This 2 hour session will help children to observe and visualise their subject of interest in the abundant natural surroundings.

**Basic Photography Workshop (only for those children who bring their cameras)

Led by renowned conservationist Srikanth Kumar and Wildlife Photographer Vamsi Chundi, this 2 hour session will aim at teaching children basic photography skills and acquaint them with a fundamental knowledge of photography equipment.

Only for children who bring their own cameras along.

***Bird Watching and Identifying Session

There will be three sessions during the camp led by Vamsi Chundi – who has been watching birds closely from his early days in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and has developed a good eye to spot birds all around. He is a professional photographer with birds and butterflies as his special area of interest.

The first session will be at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary where the children would be given interesting and surprising bits of information on birds nesting here from around the world.

The second session is at the camp site – it will include a short slide show to understand birds of the region followed by a walk to identify and record different birds, their colours, bird sounds and flying patterns.

The third session and the most interesting will be at Moyar Forest Range of the Mudumalai Forest close to Masinagudi.

****Humour in the Wild through Sketching
The wild, among other interesting things, is also a good source of humour and fun. While being amidst nature can be exhilarating in itself, it is also important to build an appreciation towards it in terms of how we relate to it. Cartoons are a fun and creative medium to learn and understand nature and the wild better.

Kids will get to turn what they see and experience in the camp to humorous sketches.
